What do we do in LBSA?
Professional Development Workshops
Alongside corporate sponsors, LBSA hosts events aimed at developing our members' professional skills and providing them with professional resources. These events range from resource fairs, resume building, networking opportunities, company tours and more.
Social Events
We organize several social events throughout the semester which gives members the opportunity to meet new people. These range from smaller socials like movie nights, beach bonfire, paint nights, to our biggest event of the semester Latin Night. These events are where everlasting relationships are formed!
Community Outreach
Each semester we participate in nonprofit activities to give back to the community. We host fundraisers, tutoring events with elementary schools and inspire high school students to attend college. Along with this, we have started a Small Business Initiative, where we promote Latin-owned businesses through a promotional video that is posted on our page.
Mentorship Program
The LBSA Extended Familia Mentorship Program pairs together current members with an LBSA alumni who will mentor students and give them career advice 1-on-1. Applications open every semester!
Scholarships
Every Fall semester, we grant members the opportunity to apply for the LBSA scholarship. With the help of our corporate sponsors, we provide financial assistance to members in need.
